Ujung Kulon National Park in Java Island, Indonesia


Ujung Kulon National Park is located in the west Java, Indonesia. Regions Park is also entering the national territory Krakatau and around several small islands such as Handeuleum and Peucang. This garden has knowledgeable about 1206 km ² (443 km ² of which is the sea), which started from the Ujung Kulon peninsula to the Indian Ocean.

National Park became the first National Park inaugurated in Indonesia, and has also been inaugurated as a World Heritage protected by UNESCO in 1992, because the protected forest area covers a very wide. Up to now, approximately 50 to 60 rhinoceros living in this habitat.

Initially Ujung Kulon is the farm in some time until eventually destroyed and dissolved out when the entire population of Mount Krakatau erupt on 27 August 1883 that eventually change the region back into the forest.

Permission to enter this National Park can be obtained at the Office National Park in the City of Labuan or Tamanjaya. Lodging can be found on the island Handeuleum and Peucang
